Customizations Intro

edit Customizations bind your data to various GoPlanogram features, aiding in creation, analysis, reporting, and usability.

This could mean:

  • Creating custom local_fire_department Heatmaps to identify assortment mobility
  • Customizing what data appears in newspaper Reports
  • Specifying data displayed in edit_note Product Labels

and much, much more.

Creating Customizations

Any time you see the icon, that signals this part of GoPlanogram can be customized.

In most cases, here's how customization breaks down:

  1. Ordering Arrows: Click these arrow buttons to toggle the order in which these customizations appear. Site-wide customizations will always appear first, and their order can only be set by site admins.
  2. Property Name: A name for this customization. This is how it will appear in the UI. This can be anything you like!
  3. Type: Click to toggle if this customization is driven by a a single data calculatecalculation on data.
  4. Expression: What data or calculation on data will be used to determine the property value?

For customizations mapping to a calculation, you will type an Excel-like calculation.

For customizations mapping to a single data property, you'll choose from a searchable dropdown, which has been split into sections:

    • Default Data: Data you upload in your products spreadsheet that GoPlanogram supports out-of-the box, such as Height, Price, and CatalogName.
    • Custom Data: Data you upload in your products spreadsheet that is custom to your organization's needs. These are fields prefixed with "#".
    • Store Data: Data associated with the current Planogram's store. There will only be values here if there is store data associated with this Planogram. These fields are prefixed with "!". Common examples: !WeeklySales, !Inventory, !SaleItem
    • Dynamic Fields: A set of pre-supported properties whose values change based on user interaction with the planogram, such as FixtureName, Bay, and NumFacings().
  5. Show To: Only for site admins. Choose if this customization appears for all users of your site, or only you. Non-admins may only make private customizations.
  6. Hide Checkbox: If checked, this customization will not be shown while you use GoPlanogram normally. Useful for hiding dormant customizations your organization may want to use later.
  7. Delete Button: Removes this customization from your site.
