straighten Surfaces are typically top-level fixtures,
though they can be attached to shelvesRacks.
Surfaces are typically used when widgetsProduct Positions must account for depthwise placement -- for example, arranging folded clothes on
a table fixture, or various frozen food arranged in a coffin case. If depth is
not relevant, it’s usually better to use a crop_16_9Shelf.
Unlike other fixtures, Surfaces can be viewed Topdown (most common), or
in Front View

A Surface can be created via add_box Insert > straighten Surface (via context or header menu). Pressing
"T" creates a Surface at the cursor location.
Properties
A Surface's properties can be edited by double-clicking it, or via Right Click
> info Properties.

Name and Description
Optional name / description for this Surface. Name is often useful for
identifying where products go in newspaperReports. These properties are
how an item's Fixture and FixtureDescription will be reported if it is parented to this Surface.
Dimensions
Surface Width, Height (of the Surface itself), Floor Height (height from
floor) and Depth, in inches or centimeters. You may enter values like 4' or
10m and GoPlanogram will convert automatically.
Grid Parameters
Parameters for an optional Surface grid overlay. If Enable Grid is
checked, when in Topdown View, widgetsProduct Positions will snap to this
grid
Dropzone Parameters
Only relevant in Front View. The color (Dropzone Fill) and height
(Dropzone Height) of the area above the Surface items must be dragged to so
they are parented to the Surface
Editing Multiple Surfaces
If multiple Surfaces are selected, you can edit their info Properties through the same dialog.
Use the content_copy Propagate checkbox buttons to declare
a change to a property should be applied to all selected Surfaces.
