Projects

group_work Projects are a Filesystem type that allows for grouping multiple Plan and Store Plan files, allowing for bulk newspaper Reporting, insights Insights, and swap_horiz Item Replacements.

Defining a Project

A Project can be created with File > New > Project. After choosing a folder Folder location and name for the new Project, the Edit Project dialog appears.

The Edit Project dialog

From it, one may find and select files in the left, then click Add Selected to include them in their Project.

One may also add dynamic file filters to their Project, to include the Plans that pass the filter. This is done by searching the filesystem with the tune Filesystem Filters, then clicking Add Filters. If the Static checkbox is unchecked, this will add the Plans that pass the filter right now -- if it is unchecked, the Project's contents will be dynamically determined every time the Project is opened.

Click Update Project when done modifying the Project.

Using a Project

You can open a Project via File > Open. If the Project Panel (View > Project) is not open already, it will open, and show you all files in the Project. Clicking on any file in this panel will open it.

The Project Panel

It is now straightforward to swap between all Plans in the Project, as well as perform bulk actions or analysis.

Project-Wide Analysis

One may view insights Insights and create newspaper Reports across a Project (or some files within the Project.)

Below is an example of the Insights panel open when a Project is open.

There is a more comprehensive guide on Insights here, and Reports here.

Bulk Item Replacements

If a Project is open, swap_horiz Replace operations can be performed across all Plans in the Project.
