Containers

inventory_2 Containers are fixtures that attach to shelves Racks, Shelves, or dry_cleaning Bars and hold items, typically widgets Product Positions.

A Container can be created via add_box Insert > inventory_2 Container (via context or header menu). Pressing "W" creates a Container at the cursor location.

Properties

A Container's properties can be edited by double-clicking it, or via Right Click > info Properties.

Name and Description
Optional name / description for this Container. Name is often useful for identifying where products go in newspaper Reports. These properties are how an item's Fixture and FixtureDescription will be reported if it is parented to this Container.
Layout

As with most fixtures, Containers support Layouts for automatic content alignment. Containers support a special Resize layout that will resize widgets Positions uniformly to fit inside.

For some layouts, Spacing defines the horizontal space left between each item when its content is laid out.

Dimensions
Container Widths (Left, Right, and Base), Heights (Back and Base), and Depth, in inches or centimeters. You may enter values like 4' or 10m and GoPlanogram will convert automatically.
Y Offset

Distance from the Container's top edge used as the vertical snap point when parenting to another fixture (i.e. dry_cleaningBars or Slatwall shelves Racks). Default value of 0 means the snap point is the container’s top edge.

Left container has Y Offset = 0. Right container has Y Offset = 2, so it snaps to the Slatwall 2" from its top edge
Colors
Container fill (edges and back) colors.
Fence Properties

Both crop_16_9 Shelves and inventory_2 Containers may have a Fence if the Has Fence checkbox is checked.

This fence acts as a guard that appears in front of items. Its style, color, opacity, and height can be edited.

Editing Multiple Containers

If multiple Containers are selected, you can edit their info Properties through the same dialog.

Use the content_copy Propagate checkbox buttons to declare a change to a property should be applied to all selected Containers.

The Propagate checkbox is checked for Fill, but not Width (Base). Both Containers have their fill changed -- only Container 1 has its base Width changed
